As you see when bent over a settee arm or in Janice's case the piano stool the crown of the bottom is presented high and tight. A strap or cane can access any part especially the sit spot lower down where the bottom joins the thighs. Punished in such a way a girl would remember long after, as sitting was very uncomfortable.
That's precisely how I had to present my bottom, high and tight over the piano stool. My mum was an expert at applying the strap across the personal place at the bottom of my bottom and across my lower cheeks just where I sat down.
