In those 'goode olde days', a naughty maid, who erred in her work, could expect to present her naked rear end to the master of the house, and expect, to be birched or caned. Yes, 'six or more swishes with these two painfull spanking tools, would painfully warm their bare bottoms. And rightfully so.
